History:

Nikolai had grown up in a family of four; him, his sister, mother and father. At a young age he’d always been able to see things. In the shadows, from the corner of his eye. He could sense thing in things, feel if something bad was going to happen, if someone was hiding or nearby. As he grew older so did his senses. In his early teens it reached a point where he saw and could interact with solid spirits. Around that time is when his parents died, it was just him and sister now. With the money they were left from their parents they were able to get by while his sister finished up high school. After she graduated she quickly looked for a job she worked two jobs one as a waitress and the other as a worker in a flower shop. Nik worked hard in school so he didn’t worry his sister, she refused to let him work she told him school was his priority. He studied hard and graduated top of his class, once he graduated he worked towards becoming a police officer. A few years later he became a Police Homicide Detective, one of the best on the force. He was the youngest they had, he worked hard everyday, and he enjoyed his work. He utilized his ability to talk with spirits to gather evidence and solve cases quickly.

The last case he worked on before joining NOCTIS concerned the murder of a young mayoral candidate. The man had been found murdered in the park near city hall. This had been one of the harder cases Nik had ever worked on. He spoke to every spirit he could find in the area. Not much evidence could be found, he could only assume someone had hired a really good hitman. After a few months, after visiting the current mayor Nik ran into a spirit he hadn’t seen before it was of a woman, she was in the mayors office. Nik couldn’t talk to her while she the mayor was there so he waited until night time to break in and talk to her. That night he found out that she was the young candidate’s mother, she had worked for the mayor, she was an intern at the time, newlywed and eager to work hard. One night while working at the office the man had raped her, and threatened to ruin her life if she ever told. She spent years with the secret, her husband never knew. Her husband died of an illness, while her son was young. When he finally grew up he decided he wanted to be a politician. Before she knew it he was running for mayor. The candidate had found out what had happened to his mother after she begged him not to run for mayor. He confronted the man one night, and threatened to leak the information if he didn’t step down from his office. He left, the next day the woman visited the mayor knowing he was a corrupt man and would have no qualms killing her son. She pleaded with him to leave her son be and she would talk to him. He shot her, he called in his people to clean up the mess while he called up someone to take care of the woman’s son.

Nik couldn’t believe the corruption of this man, he could only imagine who else he’d done this to. Just as the woman finished, Nik sensed someone outside the door before he could hide someone burst through the door. It was the mayor followed by a group of police officers. “See I told you he’d be waiting for me. I bet you he killed the young man as well. Who are you working for?” The mayor was trying to turn this on Nik. It was horrible timing, the man must have known Nik was close to finding out the truth and decided to use him as a scapegoat. Just then he notice the mayor look directly at the woman’s spirit, he could see her too. He must have notice Nik see her in the room, and knew he’d come to interrogate her. He’d slipped up. No matter how much he tried to reason with the officers, he was found guilty and sentenced to prison. He couldn’t believe it, with no evidence whatsoever he was being sent to prison. What a corrupt system they lived in, all the man needed was money, and a good seat in the government and he could get anything he wanted.

Nik met Nier on the night he was being escorted to King’s City underwater prison. A car was parked in the center of their lane facing them. Their high beams on, the police officers driving exited the vehicle guns out. Nik could make out the figures of three men exiting the other vehicle. Before he knew what happened the two policemen were on the ground unconscious. The three men walked over to the police car. The door opened and a white haired man stood in front of him. “Hello Nikolai.” After that Nik joined NOCTIS using the skills he’d gained as a detective to help eliminate evil spirits that plagued the city.

Extra Info:

- He loves wearing his aviator glasses as much as he can. People think there is a specific   reason he just thinks it makes him look badass.

-       Wears a silver necklace with wings, shield, and dual swords his sister bought him

-       Platinum ring with feathers etched in, a birthday gift from his parents

-       He’s kinda of a nerd on the inside, despite his badass appearance

-     Nik's mask has red light's that toggle on and off. It also records video for evidence, has night vision, and works as a wireless head set. 

-    Ace of swords is the card that indicates decisive ability and cutting through confusion, taking a radical decision or standpoint and the ability to see through deception, and expose it.
